Scope of the management system
Watson-Marlow Bredel is approved to BS EN ISO 9001:2000 for:
- Design, development, manufacture and in-house repair of peristaltic and orbital lobe pumps and accessories.
- Supply and factoring of associated equipment.

Responsibilities
Managing Director
The continued successful and profitable development of the Watson-Marlow Bredel group of companies within the agreed parameters of the short term annual Forward Plan and the longer term five year Strategic Plan as approved by Spirax-Sarco Engineering plc.
Sales & Marketing
As functional head of the Sales and Marketing Organisation, to prepare ambitious but achievable plans for growing profitably our sales around the world and then to achieve these sales. Also to identify acquisition opportunities which might allow stronger growth, improve market share or provide other strategic benefits.
Finance
As chief financial officer to safeguard and guide our profitable business development with specific responsibility for maintaining and reporting on our financial health, meeting statutory and fiscal obligations as well as those of our owners and providing information and guidance to colleagues on financial implications. In addition: Chairman of Watson-Marlow Alitea, Sweden, and Company Secretary for Watson-Marlow Group and responsible for Information Technology within the Watson-Marlow Bredel Group, and for the Finance Department in Falmouth.
Manufacturing
Responsible for the manufacturing operation and customer service in Falmouth. To continually improve the quality and scope of our service to customers while reducing the real cost of supplying our products. We aim to distance ourselves from our competitors and set standards of quality, delivery, reliability and product development that they can't reach.
Engineering
Responsibility for the product development and engineering activities in Falmouth. The job also entails providing support to Bredel and the UK, Continental European and USA selling companies on product matters.
Quality and Materials
As a member of the Management Team to contribute strategically to the development of business systems and policies, especially in manufacturing, in order to specify targets, reduce costs and improve customer service. To seek ways of reducing real material costs while maintaining excellence in material availability. To ensure that environmental management system requirements are established, implemented, maintained and continually improved.
