Watson-Marlow Bredel signs up Polygraphica

Polygraphica Equipment Limited, Wakefield, has signed an agreement to distribute Watson-Marlow Bredel's range of peristaltic pumps to the litho printing industry for coating applications.

Polygraphica is the sole UK distributor of Tresu enclosed chamber doctor systems for coating applications on offset presses. Mark Laurence, marketing manager at Polygraphica, says: "We were finding that our customers were experiencing problems that were due to pumping systems they were using, so we decided to source a supplier that could provide reliable pumps with first class technical support".

"When we investigated further, we found that existing Watson-Marlow Bredel pump users were achieving excellent results with no problems. We can now offer a total solution to our customers. This will enable us to be more efficient and provide our customers with added value."

The fact that customers were experiencing problems with equipment that was not supplied as part of Polygraphica's system at the time, was having a negative impact on the supplier-customer relationship. In addition Polygraphica was wasting time and money on unnecessary site call-outs. The agreement with Watson-Marlow Bredel will bridge the gap in ink and varnish handling systems and increase customer satisfaction.
