Bioprene is Watson-Marlow Bredel's exclusive thermoplastic elastomer. Proven superior in applications where it is chemically compatible, it is our most often recommended hose material. Bioprene has a wide chemical compatibility and is highly resistant to oxidising agents such as ozone, peroxides and hypochlorite.

Bioprene is also opaque to both visible and ultra-violet light, and maintains low permeability to gases such as oxygen, carbon dioxide and nitrogen.

Bioprene is compliant with USP Class VI, FDA requirements 21 CFR 177.2600, and USDA standards for food handling. It also has long life, wide chemical compatibility and can handle fluid temperatures to 80C (176F). Repeated autoclaving will not affect the overall life of Bioprene. Bioprene can also be sterilised by ethylene oxide or gamma irradiation

Available for pump sizes SPX40, SPX50, SP/40 C.I.P and SP/50 C.I.P . Maximium pressure limited to 52 psi peak.
