Watson Marlow Limited, based in Falmouth, is now looking to recruit two talented and enthusiastic individuals to join the Design & Engineering team as Electronics Apprentices.
Our apprenticeships are unique and offer a great way to stay in education whilst improving your skills, gaining work experience and getting paid at the same time. Our electronics apprenticeships are flexible, allowing us to match individual development pathways with business needs. Qualification routes can therefore be adapted as the apprenticeships progress. This apprenticeships start with a year within the team so that individuals can build up a good understanding of the business and the team before embarking on the start of their qualification pathway. We have designed our Programme so that you will have invaluable, first class experience to draw upon as you launch your career and in return we expect energy, enthusiasm and the drive to deliver results.
To be successful you will have to be highly motivated, a team player, resilient, enthusiastic and positive with an appetite for continuous improvement.
Main program elements:
Work Placement within the Design & Engineering Team, covering various areas including:
- Values and Culture
- CAD work – Electro Mechanical Drawings
- Electronic CAD – Design Environment
- Agile Methods
- Fixture Design and Manufacture
- Lab Work – Diagnostics
- Software Testing
- Pump Familiarisation
- Work placement within the Design & Engineering Team
- Continue work towards appropriate qualifications determined by individual development pathway
Minimum entry requirements:
- 5 GCSEs at grade C (or 4) or above to include Maths, English and Science
- Qualifications equivalent to 112 UCAS points in a relevant subject
- Interests outside of school/college which show a genuine interest in engineering
- A recent job or work experience would be beneficial
