Damage reduction gives cost saving at bakery

Pie filling transferRiverside Bakery, part of Northern Foods Group, needed to pump pie fillings, casseroles and stews without damage. Having looked at a number of solutions, and after extensive trials, a Bredel hose pump with its inherently low-shear action was found to be the perfect answer.

Ian Coughtrey, maintenance manager at Riverside comments: "We had been looking for an automatic transfer solution for the last three to four years that would not degrade any of the food in the production process.
