Falmouth-based Watson-Marlow Pumps Group, a world-leading manufacturer of pumps, is expanding and taking on additional premises in Falmouth, Cornwall.
The office move follows positive times at Watson-Marlow. As a major player in the Cornish and South West’s economy, Watson-Marlow has bucked the economic trend with year-on-year growth, new product launches and a pressing need for more factory space.
Forty members of staff will be moving to Watson-Marlow’s new global headquarters in Falmouth. The move will also give Watson-Marlow increased factory space at the existing site which is essential as a result of the success of its recently-launched Qdos range.
The revolutionary Qdos 30 no-valve metering pump has been a huge success for Watson-Marlow. Qdos 30, designed to improve chemical metering for industrial clients, eliminates ancillary equipment, enhances productivity, and reduces chemical waste through more accurate, linear, and repeatable metering.
With game-changing products like Qdos, Watson-Marlow is acknowledged as the world’s leading manufacturer of positive displacement pumps. Founded on over 50 years of expertise, and with over one million pumps installed worldwide, Watson-Marlow is a significant international operation, based in Falmouth, but with offices in 22 countries.
Sue Godzicz, CFO of Watson Marlow Pump Group, comments: “We built up Watson-Marlow into a major global company from our base in Falmouth, and Falmouth remains a great place for us to do business. Our new headquarters – in Falmouth, of course – will give us the space and facilities to accommodate future year-on-year growth.”
